The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator, Partnerships in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX .

The Project Coordinator will provide project coordination and administrative support for the activities of the Voices for Healthy Kids program.. The Project Coordinator manages daily and recurring project activities relating to the general operations and management of the Voices program, including coordinating regular communications with internal and external stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will work independently to accomplish project-related goals in support of American Heart Association.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supporting the grant oversight and grantee relationships with three public policy “consortia.”

  • Tracking and reporting of the Voices for Healthy Kids Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) and “consortia,” including note-taking and supporting meetings and teleconferences.

  • Supporting the planning and execution of special events, including SAC and all-consortium meetings.

  • Drafting and updating individual plans for engagement with national partner organizations.

  • Using the customer relationship management system and Microsoft Excel to track partner engagements, support outreach, etc.

  • Conducting special projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience directly related to project coordination and/or administration.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to initiate projects, provide follow-through, and work with minimum supervision.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience.

  • Ability to operate in high pressure environment, prioritize work assignments, meet multiple deadlines, and monitor several projects simultaneously.

  • Credibility and cultural competency to work effectively with diverse populations most impacted by health disparities.

Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or Communications a plus!

  • Advocacy and public policy experience.

  • Experience in collaborating with volunteers and executive management.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of Dynamics CRM.

  • Experience working in a remote team environment.
