The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator position for our obesity prevention in child care program in our National Center office in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will provide overall project coordination and support staff across a variety of functions. This is a 5-year, full-time, grant funded, benefit eligible position.

Here are some of the essential job duties:

  • Work with supervisor to plan and manage internal communications and ensure awareness of program activities, successes and key milestones

  • Monitor, measure and report on the child care program support efforts and achievements

  • Liaise with staff in multiple teams to understand all necessary aspects of program coordination

  • Help organize and execute program events

  • Supports development and distribution of program marketing and training resources and materials

  • Create monthly reports for internal tracking

  • Updates and manages internal and external online content

  • Provides administrative support to the Program Director

  • Works with supervisor and various teams as needed on supplemental projects

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or any other related field

  • Minimum two (2) years of Project coordination experience

  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of computer software, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Products

  • Excellent oral and written communications as well as excellent follow-through skills

  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule in an efficient, productive manner

  • Experience in developing and managing flexible relationships with diverse groups/environments and individuals

Here are the preferred experience:

  • Marketing or health communications experience

  • Knowledge of the child care environment and/or successful management/implementation of programs in early care, health or with children age 0-5

  • Experience working with a team virtually
