The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Project Director. This position will report to our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be located at our National Center office in Dallas, TX .
Essential Job Duties:
Manages projects for various departments at the discretion of the COO. Provides direction to staff on operational projects/tasks as needed. Integrates with appropriate internal staff and departments to develop systems and processes for projects assigned.
Ensures customer and consumer requirements relating to perceived value are understood and assists in translation of this information into strategic plans and programs.
Develops, implements, and evaluates processes to ensure the COO department operates efficiently and effectively. This includes all appropriate project communication, financial projections and reporting.
Conducts research as appropriate, to successfully complete projects and develop new ideas.

Bachelor Degree from a four (4) year college/university in a related field of study is preferred.
Prior experience in strategic planning and business management.
Demonstrated skills in project management including management of multiple concurrent projects.
Must have the ability to travel overnight approx. 20% of the time.
