The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a CPR in Schools Manager in our SouthWest Affiliate . This position educates the general public on responding to cardiovascular emergencies, cardiac arrest and stroke. Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the importance of early intervention and ensuring greater public access to defibrillation while working with volunteers, community champions, priority customers and collaborating with staff across the affiliate. The CPR in Schools Manager is responsible for developing and implementing CPR training programs with a focus on CPR in Schools programs.
Location: This position may be located in Dallas or Houston, TX
Key position objectives include achievement of goals for:
Number of people trained in CPR
Drive sales revenue through effective development and management of sales pipeline with a focus on internal sales
Number of CPR training kits placed (CPR in Schools, CPR Anytime and Infant CPR Anytime)
Implementation of donor funded Affiliate CPR programs
Effective management, engagement and recruitment of CPR volunteer base across the SouthWest Affiliate
Essential Job Duties:
This position also includes development of corporate, hospital and community CPR training programs
Achieve the established goals and revenue targets in the Affiliate territory (AR, CO, NM, OK, TX, WY)
Provide excellent customer service to existing internal customer and staff partners
Implement, track and evaluate corporate, community, school and hospital-based CPR programs
Coordinate and recruit CPR volunteer base across Affiliate territory
Collaborate with CPR team members to effectively progress CPR programing

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years’ experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
3+ years field experience (in program development, project management, sales or corporate development work). Experience and/or qualifications in marketing, sales or a related discipline. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement. Previous CPR training/sales experience highly desirable.
Ability to develop relationships with healthcare and educational institutions.
Exceptional program management skills and organizational skills for project/account planning/management.
Ability to present key ideas in a succinct and timely manner.
Strong volunteer management expertise.
Detail-oriented with sensitivity to timeliness.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn and retain product specific information.
Consultative sales experience.
Effectiveness with working and building teams.
Knowledge of sudden cardiac systems of care a plus.
Knowledge and competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time including nights and weekends when necessary.
Ability to lift 30lbs from the ground to waist level.
Must be 18 years or older.
