The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Corporate Market Director, Go Red For Women Campaign in our SouthWest Affiliate office in Dallas, TX. This campaign brings together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers of the community to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #4 killer in America. The territory is the greater Dallas area and it has a fundraising goal of $250K-$300K. This position will be for approximately 6 months.
Essential Job Duties:
Revenue generation for the Dallas Go Red For Women Campaign.
Conducting sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies.
Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders.
Goal setting with corporate companies and individuals to raise funds and awareness.
Networking within the local area, and recruiting and retaining our valued volunteers.
Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals.
Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multi task, and must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned local territory approximately 75% of the time.

Bachelor’s degreefrom an accredited university preferred. Collegecoursework combinedwith related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years’experience equatesto 1 full time year of higher education.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’seducational requirement.
Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Must be at least 18 years old.
