The Greater Southeast Affiliate of the American Heart Association is looking to fill a seasonal, part-time, 25 hours per week, 12-14 weeks (please only apply if you are looking for part-time, seasonal work) opportunity for a Youth Market Support Specialist in our Marietta, GA office. The Support Specialist will work directly with the Customer Service Manager and administratively support a team of 40 staff and will start in January 2017 and run through May 2017 . The primary focus will be to provide administrative support for our youth market programs. Must be a self-starter who thrives in an upbeat, fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with multiple staff members, high level volunteers, and individual donors.

Responsibilities:

  • Packing and Shipping out various materials to schools. (may require some lifting of boxes 25 to 40 pounds)

  • Daily updating and organizing of multiple computer programs and databases related to events

  • Use of MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Outlook/PowerPoint)

  • Handle phone calls, emails and customer service issues from the field

Required Skills

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in an office setting

  • Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and database tools

  • Independent, organized, self-starter

  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work general office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, phone systems, etc.

  • Willingness to complete other duties as assigned
