American Heart Association Application Analyst in Dallas, Texas

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Application Analyst in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX.

As the application analyst you will be responsible for technical management and administration of American Heart Association’s service applications and their integrations with Healthcare Business Solutions (HBS) ecosystem of webapps and external customer or vendor systems as needed. Responsible for data analysis, troubleshooting, training, and documenting best practices. Capable of performing in a Level 2 support role. Also, responsible for building and managing relationship(s) with application owners, support vendors and other American Heart Association departments to provide and receive support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis and administration and support of the HBS ecosystem of service applications (eCards, CE/Credentialing, American Heart Association Data Hub), including site testing, administrative setup, product rollouts, security, workflow, schedules and maintenance, training, and configuration. Will also need to understand the various integration points and fulfillment platforms that contribute to the customer facing webapps in the HBS ecosystem and be able to handle and prioritize related issues with the respective vendor/owner.

  • Provides Level 2 service and support through various channels (such as email, ticketing systems or other web-based communications.

  • Plans, coordinates, and organizes application modification projects, which includes capturing business requirements, identifying resources, and participating in scheduling and implementation.

  • Troubleshoots and conducts technical analysis to resolve problems within the service app ecosystem and its various integration points.

  • Conducts quality assurance and testing during upgrade releases and ensures the American Heart Association customization remains intact. Identifies and resolves issues with new code or releases.

  • Identifies and documents assigned application standard processes. Analyzes data and reports to ensure application data quality. Can also present and communicate reports to all levels of the organization as well as internal and external partners.

  • Leads Power User Group to ensure business understanding and user alignment with best practices and standards. Provides training to users and lower-level system administrators.

  • Advances issues and concerns to management, application vendor or developer(s) to resolve.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, eCommerce applications or equivalent work experience

  • Three (3) years of experience with business application support, management and administration

  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of technology and languages behind

  • assigned application including but not limited to CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, REST

  • APIs or other programming languages as required by application assignment.

  • Ability to train and mentor application users with sophisticated customer.
