The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Digital User Experience Designer based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX! This individual will be responsible for setting and executing the user experience vision for digital projects and properties in ECC. Responsible for collaborating with team members to gain a deep understanding of business objectives and audience, gather digital experience requirements, goals and user needs for both established properties and project-specific efforts. Also, responsible for developing high-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate a best-in-class user experience, based on research and testing.
Essential Job Duties
Drive the creative and user experience vision for digital projects and ECC properties.
Work with design, marketing, content, development, digital operations, external vendors and partners to execute the digital user experience vision.
Partner with marketing, sales, customer service and project stakeholders to understand business goals and current user behaviors, identify opportunities in existing applications/sites and recommend feasible solutions.
Create application prototypes and specifications appropriate for requirements, presentations and user testing.
Design data-driven information architecture.
Lead research efforts into digital user experience such as designing and conducting user studies to validate design strategies, A/B testing, competitor analysis, user research, and more.
Collaborate with agency, in-house business analysts and development teams to define project goals and requirements.
Conduct or facilitate content audits and inventories.
Create and maintain user experience guidelines for various digital properties based on best practice and research. Provide updates and training as needed.
Demonstrable experience solving a range of digital user experience problems for a variety of audience types
Experience working with cross-functional project teams including researchers, designers, developers, business stakeholders and data analysts
Experience with best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, design thinking practices, and user experience principles and techniques
Experience leading user research, content testing, and usability testing sessions, synthesizing findings and translating them to actionable tactics
Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
Ability to communicate and present to C-Level executives and business stakeholders at all levels
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, including multi-tasking on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of collaborative project teams
Minimal travel, local only
Experience with a variety of digital measurement and analysis tools, including Google Analytics 360
Familiarity with Sitecore, Magento, and Learning Management Systems
Proficiency in Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision
