The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an Operations Analyst with our National Center. This position can be home-based.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant-funded opportunity, current funding is through 12/23/2023 .
The Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing Department or project budgets including accounts, invoicing and reporting. Responsible for overseeing department resources, vendor management, and project operations as assigned including contract management, communications and marketing activities, technology training and related operational functions.
Essential Job Duties:
Conduct budget development process for assigned department or project. Analyze prior year budgets to provide guidance and comparative data for projections. Reconcile monthly budget reports to provide explanations of variance(s) to the Finance Department. Understand budget and revenue goals and activities for each meeting or program.
Provide training and assistance for the department staff on the association’s operations software, reporting requirements, and documentation repositories such as SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, E1 Finance system, or other regularly accessed systems and applications. Serve as systems lead for administrative and customer relationship applications.
Draft, edit, prepare and distribute internal and external communications for team members, leadership, or project stakeholders. Oversee development and execution of any marketing materials required for promotion of the assigned program or project. Facilitate communications with project stakeholders including national leadership and region field staff.
Ensure project teams provide updates and status reports including escalating any barriers to meeting project deadlines or deliverables. Collaborate with other departments to meet departmental and organizational goals.
Facilitate vendor contract management process to ensure contracts are reviewed and approved through internal Procurement and Legal procedures.
Implements purchasing process including creation of purchase orders, vendor communication and management and invoice processing.
Other duties, projects, or analyses as assigned including participating in or leading cross functional task forces.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related area
Three (3) years of budget development and analysis experience
Three (3) years of experience developing project scope and budget
Three (3) years of experience with communications, marketing, contract and vendor management or related operational functions
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Proficient with financial applications or automated accounting systems
Proficient with assigned functional applications or systems including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or shared document repositories (intranet operations) such as SharePoint
Ability to communicate in writing and orally with correct grammar and spelling
