The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Grants Administrator inour National Center office located in Dallas, TexasCandidate can be located in the Washington D.C. area as well.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing preparation, implementation, monitoring, management and reporting for multiple grants within AHA’s government grants portfolio, including NIH and CDC funding. Additional responsibilities will include collaborating with staff to ensure completion of timely grant submissions including responsibility for budgetary and administrative components, managing post-award tasks and all grant deliverables, and working with multiple teams across the organization, as well as post-award administration including project changes requiring sponsor approval, reporting, communications, and liaison with other AHA administrative departments, through all stages of award through close-out of the grant.
Essential Job Duties:
Contributes to development of administrative components, grant budgets, implementation plans, outcomes and deliverables for accurate and timely submission of government grant proposals.
Provides post-award administration and procedural management of government grants in compliance with the Uniform Guidance CFR Part 200. Assists program staff with annual technical reports and noncompetitive applications to communicate results, achievement of deliverables and outcomes to comply with sponsor reporting requirements.
Ensures AHA government grant policies are followed in all programmatic activity. Develops and communicates internal record keeping and system requirements to financial management staff and other impacted departments.
Stays abreast of changes in government funding regulations through research, networking and attendance at seminars as needed. Develops relationships with program officer(s) and other grant maker representatives. Responds to requests for information and provides reports or documentation for sponsor agencies.
Participates in or contributes to government grant training projects or assignments, especially with regards to compliance activities.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a university grant office (pre- and post- award)
Budget development and management
Reporting and correspondence
Grant outcomes and deliverables
Must be able to travel overnight approx. 10% of the time.
