The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Director, Life is Why Consumer Campaign for Corporate Relations Operations in the SouthWest region. The location for this position is remote and flexible.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic business relationships focused in retail, B2C, and CPG to secure funding for AHA mission and organizational priorities. Responsible for building a strong portfolio of accounts to achieve annual revenue targets, as well as meeting and exceeding strategic objectives. This team member with the American Heart Association’s Life is Why Consumer Campaign is at the helm of one of our most important campaigns for the organization and is responsible for the success, growth and evolution of this growing revenue stream. This leader will direct our efforts regionally through campaign management and oversight, the creation and execution of the sales strategy, product and campaign development and management of accounts. In addition, this team member will work directly with regional and market leadership and inspire staff and volunteers across the country to ensure the campaign continues to gain supporters and visibility.
Essential Job Duties:
Working with others, manage and grow the organizations top consumer campaigns
Provide excellent campaign analysis that uses lead indicators and data to drive performance
Create and Manage to the playbook for success for consumer campaigns with a focus on building relationships with C-Suite leadership, community leaders, and major funders.
Drive regional relationships and partnerships with Fortune 1000 companies – excluding Northwest Arkansas
Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and data to develop benchmarks, standard methodologies, priorities and focus areas
Work with internal and external partners to develop strategies to significantly increase AHA’s revenue and impact
Work directly with top markets in driving pipelines, execution, and stewardship of campaign participants
Provide formal feedback to regional senior leadership on opportunities and challenges
Drives adoption of innovation and new revenue strategies
Responsible for building six and seven figure consumer campaign opportunities

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare, Public Health preferred
Five (5) years of successful sales experience, particularly in selling intangible programs and services, along with the ability to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies
Five (5) years of experience in negotiation and solution oriented problem-solving
Five (5) years of experience developing and delivering presentations to both large and small groups
Five (5) years of comprehensive ability to prepare written and oral communications including thorough knowledge and command of business English
Three (3) years of consulting and interacting with the highest level of corporate leadership
Three (3) years of experience in sales greater than $500,000
Three (3) years of experience in contract negotiation and non-profit fundraising execution
Excellent use of Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Compensation & Benefits
Salary minimum to midpoint of the range: $63,000 - 83,480. This position is incentive eligible based on achieving certain targets.
Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply . AHA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Benefit Plans: Employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the medical, dental, and vision plans the first of the month following 30 days of service. AHA subsidizes the medical and dental cost to ensure benefits are affordable. Eligible dependents under AHA’s group benefit plans include legal spouse, domestic partner, children under the age of 26 or who are disabled. AHA offers additional benefits like an EAP, telehealth benefit for general medical and behavioral health, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability.
Retirement Plans : AHA retirement plans offer employees a way to start saving after their first paycheck. The retirement plans provide employer contributions after two years of service. If you have previous 501(c)(3) non-profit experience, within the last 5 years, at a national health agency, an institution of higher learning or a medical institution, that experience may count towards the two-year waiting period. Employees are 100% vested in employee and employer contributions.
Paid Days Off: Regular full-time and part-time employees earn Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service. PTO begins accruing on date of hire. Full time employees receive one paid Community Service time off day per year and are encouraged to participate in projects, programs and organizations which contribute to the health and vitality of their communities. AHA also offers 12 paid holidays per year.
Leaves of Absence : AHA offers both Short Term and Long Term Disability benefits which replace earnings if you are unable to work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Employees are eligible for Short Term Disability after 90 days of service and are eligible for Long Term Disability after being disabled for 90 days or more. Eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks off of work for a qualified leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), intermittent FMLA leaves and leave as an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA.
