The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Bequest Administrator at our office located in St. Petersburg, FL.
In this role, you will be responsible for estate administration process for bequests from wills, trusts, split-interest agreements, perpetual trusts and other testamentary instruments. Responsible for managing and processing distributions from various estate sources.
Major Responsibilities :
Monitors, reviews and processes legal documentation, trust statements and related materials for bequest distribution requirements and restrictions.
Maintains and ensures data and donor information is accurate and up-to-date in both electronic database and physical hard file.
Communicates and coordinates bequest activities with estate/trust representatives and attorneys. Collaborates with all parties to resolve concerns or issues. Processes receipts for liquidation of estate assets.
Maintains accurate records for split-interest trusts and perpetual trusts and provides information for correct financial recording of assets and audit review.
Experience and Qualifications
Vocational/Trade Degree in Paralegal or banking/accounting
Minimum two years of experience in the related field
Experience with estate planning legal documentation and financial instruments
Experience with basic accounting principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision
