American Heart Association Careers

YOU Matter Here! So Does Your Career!

  • There is nothing quite like #TheAHALife. I am constantly surrounded by mission-driven, kind, and supportive individuals. Every day I am inspired by the people we work with, the work that we do, and the impact we make. Even when I have a crazy idea, I always know that I can trust someone in my organization to truly listen and encourage me. I seriously cannot picture myself anywhere else.

  • I started my career at the American Heart Association working on local fundraising campaigns, where I built a strong foundation in volunteer and sponsorship management. After nine years, I transitioned into my current role as a National Program Lead, having the opportunity to impact health outcomes on a national scale. It’s been a rewarding journey from local to national impact, all within an organization that supports growth and mission-driven work. I genuinely enjoy the work I do and the people I work with. Every day, I feel connected to a mission that matters, and I’m surrounded by colleagues who are passionate, collaborative, and supportive.

  • I first joined the American Heart Association through the Interns of Impact program, where I gained confidence through one-on-one sessions with executive leaders and strength-building activities. I applied what I learned and was able to transition into a full-time role. Now, I’m challenged daily by seasoned industry professionals and continue to grow, making it an incredibly fulfilling role. I chose to work at the American Heart Association because I deeply believe in, and personally align with, the mission. Much of my identity has been shaped by my dad’s survival of heart disease and my own experience with familial hypercholesterolemia. Being able to help push our mission forward every day is a privilege and an honor, and it is why I’m proud to be here.

  • What I love most about working at the American Heart Association is knowing the work we do truly saves lives—and sometimes, we even get to meet the people we've helped. Every day brings opportunities to learn and connect, especially with our inspiring volunteers who never fail to brighten my day. It’s incredibly rewarding to end each day knowing you made a real difference.
