The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.

The Creative Services Operations intern will work within American Heart Association Creative Studios to gain professional experience with a national non-profit organization; here’s your chance to actively work in the various capacities needed to operationalize creative. From budget management and creating systems for efficiency to managing intake requests- this is a unique opportunity. You’ll gain exposure to these skills on a creative team that brings together design, production, and creative operations to ensure a well-rounded experience. Join a team dedicated to building content that transforms lives and uplifts an array of voices across a spectrum of experiences.

Internship Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 20 hours per week

  • Internship Duration: 5/20/2024 – 8/9/2024

  • Hybrid-In Dallas office on Tuesdays. Remainder of work week remote

  • Salary: $23.00 per hour

Internship Outcomes:

Individuals participating in the internship program are provided with an opportunity to:

  • Gain important and practical job skills to be successful in a non-profit environment.

  • Opportunity to explore a career-path with a reputable voluntary health/service organization.

  • Gain experience in the professional world while learning about board management.

  • Complete an internship that enriches your academic and professional resume as well as enriching your personal life by making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

Tasks could include things like the following:

  • Work with the Operations team to assist the creative team.

  • Source assets from clients/vendors.

  • Work with the Project Management software team to create a how-to guide for running various reports.

  • Learn brand standards and ensure content aligns with the goals and mission of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a project management degree or pursuing a degree with project management coursework or strong knowledge and interest in project management required.

  • Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment handling multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection.

  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm CST.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
