The National Executive, Experience Design and Innovation, Leads the development and execution of an organization-wide strategic plan focused on innovation across the national field campaigns. This includes enhancing the experience within existing core campaigns including Go Red For Women, Heart Walk, Heart Ball, Kids Heart Challenge and Liive, creating new revenue streams, and positioning the AHA for future philanthropic success.

Responsibilities
Create and execute a comprehensive innovation roadmap for fundraising and growth to include reimaging current fundraising campaigns and developing new revenue streams designed to engage new donors and increase overall fundraising for the organization.
Reimagine Current Fundraising Campaigns to increase profitability. Identify innovative strategies within our current key fundraising campaigns to reach new audiences, create community and turn participants into fans. Identify marketing strategies, emerging technologies, data-driven insights, and creative approaches to increase revenue and participation.
Innovate New Revenue Models. Design and implement groundbreaking revenue strategies that extend beyond traditional fundraising, incorporating digital platforms, strategic partnerships, expanded audiences and communities, and nonprofit business innovations to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Guide a cross-functional team to create cross-association working groups to envision the future of nonprofit fundraising, plan, review progress, identify issues, and ensure coordinated work to accomplish product and portfolio goals. Directs a matrix team to plan execution and assure integration and cohesiveness.
Develop a national innovation governance council comprised of executive stakeholders including Regional and National EVPS, AEVPS, and External Volunteers and National Board members.
Employ a design thinking process, utilizing advanced data analytics, market research, and audience insights to guide decision-making and optimize fundraising initiatives. Ensure that all efforts align with AHA’s strategic objectives and are grounded in robust evidence and market trends.
Establishes clear performance metrics to track progress and success across a portfolio of campaigns, with a structured approach for gathering consumer insights and defining KPIs.
Oversees budget, cost, and staff resources for the successful implementation of programs within the portfolio.
Provides senior leadership with recommendations for resource development and project priorities. Facilitates portfolio projects with Development (National Corporate Relations, Field Corporate Relations and Mission Advancement) to secure resources to execute portfolio strategies.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
9 years’ experience in a similar role or in a role leading a multi- million-dollar campaign with year over year growth
5 years of experience coaching and influencing leadership to achieve goals and meet organizational objectives
Proven record of success in corporate sponsorship and fundraising
Proven record of success in major gift development
Proven record of success in leading cross-functional teams
Proven record of success in leading c-suite level volunteers
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Sales Marketing background a plus
Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
Skilled in campaign oversight and reporting
