We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Program and Account Manager, Meetings & Events , based in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX (or another American Heart Association office location based on candidate’s geography.

This position plays a key role in our Meetings & Events team within the Office of Science Strategy & Operations , responsible for leading revenue-generating programs, managing high-value sponsor relationships, and overseeing virtual and live scientific education platforms such as AHAtv , Scientific Sessions OnDemand (SSOD) , and Stroke OnDemand (SOD) . This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative and strategic leader with a strong background in program management, sponsorship, and digital content execution.

Responsibilities

Sponsorship & Advertising Management

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow sponsorships and advertising revenue aligned with scientific conferences and digital content.

  • Develop compelling, customized sponsorship opportunities that meet partner needs and support American Heart Association’s scientific mission.

  • Serve as lead point of contact for sponsors and advertising partners, ensuring excellent service and long-term engagement.

  • Handle all aspects of industry-funded promotional services, including production timelines, artwork delivery, and sponsor acknowledgements.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Relations and Science teams to achieve shared revenue goals and ensure sponsor alignment with American Heart Association brand standards.

Program & Product Management

  • Identify, develop, and launch new products and programs that contribute to organizational revenue growth and audience engagement.

  • Lead the strategic planning, delivery, and optimization of virtual education products (AHAtv, SSOD, SOD), ensuring a high-quality experience for both users and sponsors.

  • Lead cross-functional teams including vendors, marketing, digital content creators, and scientific leaders.

  • Analyze performance metrics and audience insights to inform continuous improvement and innovation.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

  • Handle project timelines, budgets, and internal communication for assigned strategic initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies by attending relevant conferences and networking with partners.

  • Lead post-event assessments and share recommendations for future success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, digital content strategy, or sponsorship sales, ideally in a nonprofit, healthcare, or scientific setting.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing revenue-generating programs.

  • Experience managing virtual and hybrid event platforms and content.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and budgeting principles.
